Stud Muffin Naming Contest for Valentine's Day

Vanille Hosts Valentine’s Day Stud Muffin Naming Contest

Submit a Fitting Flavor Profile for the Chance to Have a Loved One’s Stud Muffin Sold in Vanille Stores

This Valentine’s Day, Chicago’s wildly-popular French-inspired patisserie, Vanille, is offering the ultimate gift for the stud in someone’s life, a handmade, beautifully decorated and absolutely delicious Vanille Stud Muffin inspired-by and named after them. Now through February 5, 2016, Vanille is holding a naming contest for its next Stud Muffin creation that will be sold in all of Vanille’s Chicago stores throughout the month of February.

Vanille’s Stud Muffins are so much more than the typical cupcake they are often compared to. Each Stud Muffin starts with a cake base, that is iced and filled with complementary flavors. It’s then topped with an iconic Vanille macaron that also fits the flavor profile.

“From our Red Velvet “Wyatt” to our seasonal specials like the chocolate and peppermint “Kris” (named for Kris Kringle), our Stud Muffin lineup is inspiration from the studs that love our cakes,” says Vanille Owner Sophie Evanoff.

Submissions for Vanille’s Stud Muffin Naming Contest are being accepted now through Monday, February 5, 2016, with the winner being announced February 12, just in time to gift the namesake Stud Muffin for Valentine’s Day. Contestants submit the name of their stud, whether it be boyfriend, husband, or man’s best friend, and describe what kind of cake, icing, filling and macaroon embody that person. For example, someone who enjoys the simple things in life, may be vanilla, while the sweet, but spicy person could be a pairing of chilies and chocolate. Submissions must be made via email to studmuffin@vanillepatisserie.com.

Some of Vanille’s other Stud Muffin creations include “Jake” (vanilla mousseline, buttercream and white buttermilk cake topped with a blue vanilla macaron, red and blue stars and a Cubs “W” flag) named after Cubs pitcher Jake Arrieta, and Roméo (chocolate cake, raspberry, cream filling, buttercream, red hearts and a raspberry heart macaron) Vanille’s traditional Valentine’s Day offering.

Vanille specializes in French-inspired artisanal desserts and pastries including delicious entremets and tarts, handmade chocolates and candies, fresh baked croissants and classic French macarons. Currently operating two Chicago locations, Vanille is set to open a third store early this year at 3243 N. Broadway in Chicago’s Lakeview neighborhood.
